
Vocal Competition
The CNYAMT vocal competition offers high school singers the opportunity to practice their classical vocal skills while being adjudicated in four different age levels (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior). The young artists are judged by highly respected professional performers and professors of voice.

The 2026 Vocal Competition will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 11:00-4:30 at OCC, Academic II - Recital Hall.
Vocal Competition Winners Recital will take place on May 31, 2026 at 3:00 at OCC, Academic II - Recital Hall.

The 2025 Vocal Competition Winners Recital took place on May 31st at Onondaga Community College with the Winner's Recital taking place on June 1st.

Haydn Frisbie (Krantz) of F-M High School was the competition’s Senior Scholarship Winner. She recently placed first at the Upstate New York Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing’s competition. Frisbie also has performed in all-county, area all-state and conference all-state mixed choirs. She plans to major in music education at Syracuse University.
